One-day Longji Terraced Fields Join-in Group Tour

The tour guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel in downtown Guilin between 08:00am - 08:30am, and then transferred by a shared coach for about 2 hours to reach Longji Rice Terraces area.

Longji Rice Terraces area in Longsheng County, about 90 km from Guilin city, is well-known for its spectacular terraced paddies fields and local ethnic culture of Zhuang & Yao mountain tribes. First, have a visit to Huangluo Village of Yao minority, connected with the mountain road via a hanging bridge. Built by the river and mountain, this village is home to the long-haired Yao ladies in red clothes.

After lunch, transfer for about 35 minutes to reach Dazhai Village, with the largest scale terraced fields and residents of Yao ethnic groupat Longji area. 

After your visit, transfer back to your Guilin hotel in late afternoon.

Good to know

1. Within Longji area, the linked together rice terraces wrap around the mountain slope from the riverside up to the mountain top, between 380 to 800 metres above sea level. They are constructed by the local farmers of Yao and Zhuang minority, starting from 13 century to the end of 19 century with a history of over 600 years.

2. The linked together rice terraces there vary from season to season - irrigated mirror-like terraces during the spring, lush green rice shoots in summer, the golden autumnal color of ripened paddy rice, and possibly layers of snow cover the terraces in the winter.
